Starlink

Starlink is a satellite constellation designed and operated by SpaceX. The goal is to provide broadband Internet access to even the most remote areas of our planet. To date, Starlink is the largest constellation with 1,700 spacecraft already orbiting in LEO. The end goal is even more impressive — 12,000 satellites.

Early-stage planning for Startlink began in 2014, but the production started three years later, in 2017. The first test satellite was launched just a year later, in February 2018. Starting May 2019, SpaceX has been regularly launching batches of 60 Starlink satellites at a time on its Falcon9 heavy-weight rocket.

This page will keep you informed about the latest developments in the largest Internet constellation, publishing Starlink news and updates after each launch.
