Shetland Space Centre

The Shetland Space Centre will be a vertical rocket launch facility on the UK’s most northerly island of Unst in the Shetland Isles.

The company, Shetland Space Centre Ltd was established in 2017 by local businessman Frank Strang, owner of the Saxa Vord Resort, which was previously an RAF facility.

Shetland Space Centre is one of three proposed vertical rocket launch sites in Scotland, with another in the Western Isles and the third in Sutherland.
