Goonhilly

Goonhilly, also known as Goonhilly Earth Station, is described as a Satellite Communications Teleport. It was established in 1962 and has been a key part of the overall satellite communications infrastructure ever since.

The GES facilities are based in Cornwall, close to the Newquay Airport where there are plans for a horizontal rocket launch port, which will be known as Spaceport Cornwall.
