Airbus

Airbus are one the world’s largest Aerospace companies, known mostly for the manufacture of aircraft.

However, Airbus have been involved in the space industry. Their Airbus Defence & Space division was established in 2014 and operates from its HQ in Germany.

From 2017 Airbus Defence & Space declared revenues of nearly 11 billion euros and over 40,000 employees.

ArianeGroup, a joint venture between Airbus and Safran, are the main contractors for Europe’s Ariane launch rockets. The company are also responsible for a number of satellites currently orbiting Earth.
