Black Arrow

Black Arrow was the British-built rocket that took the Prospero satellite into orbit in 1971.

The Black Arrow project was started in the 1960s and abandoned after its last successful launch in 1971.

Edinburgh-based launch company, Skyrora, retrieved the 1st stage of the Black Arrow rocket from where it landed in the Australian outback and brought it back to the UK early in 2019.
