Catenae Innovation’s Excited to Win Contract with SaxaVord UK Spaceport in Shetland
18th Aug 2021UK’s SaxaVord Spaceport has just been renamed, but more changes are already on their way. The Shetland Space Centre is experiencing a lot of pressure at the moment. No wonder, since the location of their operations, the Isle of Unst in Shetland was named by the UK Space Agency the most promising UK spaceport for satellite launches. Great expectations mean great responsibility. That is why the Agency wants the best to work with them on developing SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland region.
This time, the choice fell on Catenae Innovation PLC, which has beaten the competition in the race after the Agency contract. This company is widely known as the developer of the COVID mobile app that helps businesses track one’s Covid-19 status with no effort. In SaxaVord Spaceport, Catenae Innovation will harness NASA’s, the European Space Agency’s, and SaxaVord’s data to operate several interactive dashboards with the help of their unique data visualization technologies. These dashboards, in turn, will allow SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland to evaluate and control the ground station equipment’s performance. Moreover, monitoring the satellites connected to the port will be possible via the same dashboards too.
