ESA and PLAYMOBIL have teamed up to develop space-themed toys for kids. Their latest collaboration, the Starter Pack Space Mission, encourages children aged 4 to 10 to imagine life as lunar explorers.
ESA and PLAYMOBIL Collaboration
Earlier this year, the partnership between the European Space Agency and the German toy-making brand birthed the ‘Starter Pack Space Mission’. This toy pack features a lunar rover, an astronaut, a lunar soil sample, a test kit, a mobile station, equipment for picking up the soil sample, and a satellite.
This experience might build the child’s mind to become more interested in various space exploration missions, hence breeding the next generation of space explorers.
You can purchase the Starter Pack Space Mission set directly from the PLAYMOBIL official retail store right now. Nadia Lüders, ESA Partnership & Brand Licensing Officer says that “This new PLAYMOBIL set continues a long-standing partnership that takes on special significance this year, as we celebrate ESA’s 50th anniversary and set our sights on 2040 with a new strategy that outlines Europe’s ambitions across five key goals – including exploration and discovery.”
ESA Advances With Its Lunar Exploration Mission
ESA is actively preparing for Moon missions, including the development of the Argonaut lunar lander, which will deliver cargo to the Moon.
This lander will support the ESA’s lunar exploration mission, ensuring that astronauts on the Moon receive vital supplies. With the newly announced LUNA facility, the ESA hopes to prepare its astronauts for future lunar exploration missions. While there is no news on the launch of the ESA lunar exploration mission, we expect it to launch in the near future.
