AI For Everyone: Microsoft Copilot Best Features Are Now Available For Free

To enable everyone to get access to more AI features, the Microsoft Voice and Think Deeper features are now available for use at no cost. This is coming a few weeks after Microsoft opened usage of the OpenAI o1 reasoning model to all Copilot users for free.

Microsoft Copilot Now Available To Everyone For Unlimited Free Usage

In October 2024 Microsoft launched the Voice and Think Deeper feature for Copilot users, and it was based on the OpenAI o1 reasoning model. Now the firm is making these features available to all Copilot users for free with no limits, giving more people access to these AI features for everyday usage.

Powering the Voice feature is also the OpenAI o1 reasoning model, meaning that users can expect top-notch performance. In the official blog announcing this update, Microsoft encourages users to “have an extended conversation with Copilot using Voice and take advantage of Think Deeper’s advanced reasoning models to tackle more complex questions or tasks, anytime.”

The reason behind this move according to Microsoft is due to the user feedback on its performance. At launch, these features were only available to free users at a limited rate, meaning that non-Pro users only had a few goes at the Voice and Think Deeper features.

Now Microsoft is giving everyone access to these features with no daily limitations. If you use an Edge browser on your device, you can try out these AI features without having to join the Copilot Pro plan.

About Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is a generative AI chatbot that hit the launch stage in 2023 as a replacement for Cortana. This new chatbot uses the GPT-4 LLMs from OpenAI to give the Edge browser something extra to help with user experience while browsing.

Since its launch, Microsoft has worked to add new features and abilities to the chatbot. These additions brought a ton of functionality to the chatbot for its users around the world.

Some of these new features are the Voice and Think Deeper, both of which are based on the OpenAI o1 reasoning model. While Microsoft Copilot is free to use for all, some of its features are locked behind a Pro subscription plan.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen Microsoft unlock some of the Pro features for free users. Now, more people can access these AI features as they surf the internet.
