Clone Robotics’ New Creepy Android Moves Like A Human! (Video)
24th Feb 2025
A few days ago Clone Robotics, a California-based robot manufacturing firm, released a video of their humanoid robot taking the internet by surprise. This video shows a weird-looking humanoid robot suspended in the air by strings. His random twitching actions appear a bit disturbing to watch.
A Weird Twitching Robot From Clone Robotics
Three years ago, Clone Robotics took the limelight after unveiling its robot arm prototype. The design of this prototype imitates the motion of each muscle in the human arm, replicating the grazing, stretching, and curling of the human arm.
Two months ago, the firm showed its new advancements from the robot arm it debuted three years ago. This time, the robot had a full torso and could move not only its arm but also other parts of the torso, reflecting how far the firm’s research and development have come.
Now, the California-based robot manufacturing firm is proudly showing off yet another significant development to its robot project, the “Protoclone: Bipedal Musculoskeletal Android V1.” The protocone robot features a full Myofiber artificial muscle technology designed by Clone Robotics for use on this robot.
This artificial muscle technology features mesh tubes with balloons inside them. Fluids are pumped through these tubes, hence causing the balloon to rapidly expand inside the tube, helping the robot to move its various body parts.
According to Clone Robotics, this protoclone is to have a 500-watt electric pump heart and its nervous system. This nervous system will comprise four depth cameras, 700 inertial sensors, and 320 pressure sensors.
Clone Robotics Bipedal Musculoskeletal Android V1 Prepares For Home Usage
As the robotics industry keeps expanding, various companies are rolling out their versions of humanoid robots for home usage. Each of these robots tries to outperform the competition by bringing a unique way of getting things done.
For Clone Robotics, the motion of their Bipedal Musculoskeletal Android V1, which is preparing for mass production, is its motion. The complex yet detailed motion of this robot will be its top-selling point. While this robot is still in its development phase, it promises to be a great help around the house for buyers who can afford it once available. Buyers can now reserve one on the Clone Robotics official page ahead of its official launch.
