Say Goodbye To Dead Zones — China’s GalaxySpace Brings Satellite-Powered Mobile Internet

Chinese space firm GalaxySpace publicly demonstrated the use of mobile-to-satellite technology. This demonstration involved the connection of mobile devices to the firm’s low-Earth orbit satellite through a rooftop-installed terminal device.

GalaxySpace Boosts China’s Presence In The Satellite Connectivity Industry

Over the past few years, there has been a significant shift in the telecommunication industry towards satellite connectivity. Firms like Starlink are championing this space, but in recent times more firms have been launching communications satellites into low-Earth orbit.

One of such firms making moves in this industry is GalaxySpace as they debut their mobile-to-satellite technology. This technology harps on China’s first low-Earth orbit broadband communication test constellation.

To connect to the low-Earth orbit satellites, GalaxySpace utilizes their rooftop-installed terminal device. This technology will be put to use by various partners to provide internet via satellite connectivity.

Liu Chang, co-founder and vice president of GalaxySpace has also pointed out that his firm will partner with the Thailand service provider True Corporation. The CEO of True Corporation, Manat Manavutiveth, also expresses confidence in the positive impacts that this technology will bring to Thai customers.

GalaxySpace Aims To Improve Internet Connectivity Across Asia

Ever since its founding back in 2018, GalaxySpace has grown to become one of the top internet solution providers in China. The firm is also making strides in the Chinese satellite manufacturing space.

Now the firm has unveiled and publicly tested its new mobile-to-satellite technology. This technology will help provide safe and stable communication for users in Beijing and Thailand.

With this technology, the Chinese mobile-to-satellite service provider will be able to make direct satellite-to-mobile communication possible for its partners and users. Such technology will help improve connectivity to other regions across Asia.
