Welcome to the first February roundup of last week’s best space photos! As February kicks off, a planetary parade unfolds, offering a rare chance to see six planets align after dark. However, over the last few days, skywatchers’ were all fixed on a breathtaking Venus-Moon conjunction.

What Is A Moon & Venus Conjunction?

A Moon-Venus conjunction is when the Moon and Venus appear close together in the sky. It happens because they line up from our point of view on Earth, even though they are actually far apart in space. In photos of this celestial spectacle, Venus often looks like a bright star near the Moon.
