Sources close to President-elect Donald Trump have shared that he is likely to accompany Elon Musk at SpaceX’s Starship launch in Texas.

Musk and Trump have been extremely close during and since the election, and the South African-born billionaire has been one of Trump’s top donors, even joining calls with other world leaders and having a significant influence on Cabinet choices.

The two have been together a lot in public including an appearance at UFC at the weekend at Madison Square Garden.

The launch is scheduled for Tuesday and will be the sixth suborbital flight test of Starship. The plan is for the ship eventually to send people to the moon and eventually help fulfil Musk’s ambition to “Occupy Mars”.

Trump heaped praise on SpaceX and Starlink during the election campaign and praised Musk deploying Starlink services to ensure internet coverage remained in the areas impacted by Hurricane Helene.” He’s a character. He’s a special guy. He’s a super genius. We have to protect our geniuses,” Trump said. “We don’t have that many of them. We have to.”

The launch will be live-streamed this Tuesday. Here’s how to watch live stream.
