Elon Musk’s SpaceX business

SpaceX, a business belonging to one of the world’s richest men, Elon Musk, launched on 14 March 2002 and has a handful of achievements to its name.

On 9 December 2010, SpaceX became the first private company to successfully launch, orbit, and recover a spacecraft.

Ever since this first achievement, the firm has recorded lots of other achievements, making itself a force to reckon with in the space industry.

The firm also proceeded to launch Starlink back on 23 May 2019 and now provides internet access to millions of homes worldwide.

Today, Elon Musk’s SpaceX business is worth over £161 billion (~$210 billion) almost as much as its founder.

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin business

On 8 September 2000 Jeff Bezos, the second-richest man in the world, founded Blue Origin.

Despite having fewer achievements than its top competitor in the private space industry, Blue Origin has made some achievements in the industry.

In 2015, the company’s New Shepard suborbital vehicle performed its first uncrewed launch and landing.

The first New Shepard crewed mission crossing the Kármán line was done in the year 2021 with Jeff Bezos on board.

These are just a few of the many achievements that Jeff Bezos’ aerospace company has under its belt.

The current market value of Blue Origin is estimated between £23-38 billion (~$30-50 billion).
