Aurora Borealis Photos From the US Northern States Are Taking Over the Internet
28th Aug 2024On Tuesday night, 28th August, lucky observers in the northern states of the U. S. had a chance to witness stunning northern lights in the sky. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this was the last chance for residents to witness the national phenomenon during a month of heightened aurora borealis activity.
As predicted by NOAA, northern regions of states like Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin had a slight chance of seeing the northern lights on Tuesday night.

Moreover, NOAA forecasts that sunspots, the source of geomagnetic storms capable of triggering the northern lights, are expected to peak in 2025 with 115 spots.
