On 19th August, we saw the Sturgeon Moon, a full moon that appeared unusually large in the sky. This phenomenon is called a supermoon, and it happens because the moon’s orbit is slightly oval-shaped, bringing it closer to Earth at certain points. This year, the Sturgeon Moon coincided with one of these close points, making it look bigger — a well-known optical illusion.
