Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ 10-year Anniversary Re-Release Rescheduled to December

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” space movie is set for a special return to theatres in IMAX 70mm and digital versions! The re-release of a legendary movie was scheduled for 27th September. However, Variety reports that Paramount Pictures’ film will return to screen no later than on 6th December.

Who Works On “Interstellar” Re-release?

The news of the re-release of “Interstellar” was unveiled at CinemaCon, the annual exhibition industry conference held in April 2024 in Las Vegas. To work on the revival, Warner Bros., the co-producer of the film, will collaborate with Paramount.

It will be shown in 70mm Imax prints, as well as digital screens.

What “Interstellar” Re-Release Is About?

The story unfolds in a dystopian future. A team of astronauts embarks on a mission to explore the outer reaches of space and find a habitable planet to colonize.

Back In 2014

In 2014, the film, which starred Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Matt Damon, earned a remarkable $731 million worldwide. Nolan filmed “Interstellar” using both 35mm anamorphic film and 65mm IMAX. The movie was released in film formats, while at that time, many theatres had switched over to digital projectors.
