Scottish Space Company AstroAgency Contracted in Private & Government Sectors

Scottish space company with connections to Ukraine secures a series of contracts for the first quarter of 2022. AstroAgency, with headquarters in Edinburgh and staff in Ukraine, has the full support of Scotland’s space sector, even though the military invasion of Ukraine complicates business operations.

New contracts for the Scottish space company

In mid-April 2022, UK Business Incubation Centres, along with the European Space Agency, secured the services of AstroAgency, bringing more opportunities for Scotland’s space sector. AstroAgency specialises in marketing and other consultancy services for the space industry.

Another strategic addition to the list of AstroAgency connections is market research projects for the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and UKSA. As far as the private Scottish space sector is concerned, the Edinburgh-based company will collaborate with Earth Blox, a satellite company providing data insight and analytics.

The last but definitely not the least addition to AstroAgency partners in Scotland’s space industry is Spelfie, another satellite company that provides imagery and is working on a satellite blockchain tech to secure transactions for agricultural deals.

Notably, the series of new contracts in the Scottish space industry comes after the armed invasion of Ukraine, where some of the AstroAgency staff are located. However, despite potential business disruptions, company management is confident the international team will be able to help all of its clients reach their goals.

AstroAgency on the upcoming collaboration

AstroAgency founder Daniel Smith mentioned that the beginning of the year had been a ‘rollercoaster’ for the whole company, but the team is determined to deliver on all current projects and is looking forward to securing more contracts in Scotland’s space partner network. He adds that the company has reached its 40th client milestone and is ready to further strengthen its ties in the Scottish space industry.

The company’s Head of Marketing and Communications Andrea Stewart adds that AstroAgency has been working on several voluntary initiatives in the past 18 months and are delighted to have found a project to work on together as a client at the start of 2022. The company’s COO Daria Filichkina is excited about securing future contracts in both Scotland’s space private and government sectors.
