Elecnor Deimos develops an app to help combat the Covid-19 Pandemic

Elecnor Deimos, a leading provider of innovative space systems and solutions, has recently made its contribution to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Its new app, 1 km, available both on iOS and Android, should help the quarantined population keep track of their walks. Not surprisingly, this application is free, and its goal is to help people stay active and healthy while keeping to quarantine safety precautions.

Elecnor Deimos 1 km app: a safe walk

As more countries reduce lockdown regulations and allow people to spend more time outdoors, staying safe and healthy becomes everyone’s responsibility. Today, most citizens in the world are allowed to spend time in the fresh air — as long as they remain within a 1km radius from their homes.

Elecnor Deimos, an innovative tech company, understands perfectly well that it’s not that easy to track precise distance from one’s home. So, its latest development, the 1 km application does it for people. When the app is active, it activates the position on Google Maps and draws a 1km circle that users are supposed to stay in.

This tool tracks and updates the user location on the go, ensuring that its users can take their healthy walks while still keeping quarantine safety measures in mind. The 1km application also comes with an optional timer that keeps track of the time people spend outdoors, not just distance from their homes.

Elecnor Deimos is one of many space tech companies that contribute their share to help battle the Covid-19 pandemic and protect the population from this global threat.
