Business Durham Achievements

The North East Centre is one of three major centres supported by the UK Space Agency. Its location in Sedgefield is perfect because there are a lot of developing companies within the region overall.

Over the past few years, Business Durham has served as a bridge, reaching out to more than 670 organizations, and creating various links between companies and universities. With this effort, they have been able to secure £9.2 million for private organizations in terms of funding.

Not Only UK Space Agency-Related Companies Can Use the Centre

The North East Satellite Application Centre of Excellence is not only limited to companies connected to the UK Space Agency. It is open to companies in various industries regardless of size, as long as the organization uses or manufactures space technology and/or data.

Also, these companies can use ideas from across the space sector to solve problems in various industries. Therefore, the centre encourages various companies to use the facilities to solve problems that could find solutions within the space industry.
