In an effort to tackle climate change, a Cornwall councillor has asked that money set aside for a Spaceport be allocated to the environment instead.

Cornwall Green Party member, Karen Le Borde put forward the proposal to shift money from the Spaceport to combatting climate change instead as part of the region’s Environmental strategy.

The Cabinet unanimously supported the climate change action plan as well as agreeing to fund some of the programmes.

Twitter was awash with comments around the Spaceport doubts.
